LONDON+acumen volunteers and Acumen Fund Staff will be getting together to celebrate our 1st year in London – with an amazing party on Thu 24th May in central London!
Tickets available at http://birthdaylondonacumen.eventbrite.co.uk, all ticket proceeds will go towards Acumen Fund.
You are cordially invited to LONDON+acumen’s Generosity Day event on Thursday 23rd February from 19:30 to 21:30 at Hub Westminster, New Zealand House, 80 Haymarket, SW1Y 4TQ.
This year we successfully rebooted Valentines Day into Generosity Day – with the simple concept of spending the day doing small acts of kindness in a pay-it-forward structure. The global movement was captured by the Huffington Post, CNN News and others!
Now it’s time to share our stories of Generosity and discuss how we can continue to change our community and our world by shifting one YES at a time.
We promise you four great speakers that will engage and stimulate your mind with different takes on Generosity:
- Mark Williamson, Action For Happiness
- Vaso Parisinou, Giving What We Can
- Vinay Nair and James Wu, Acumen Fund
There will be networking opportunities afterwards for you to make new connections and friends within our inspiring community of social innovators – people that love saying YES to new ideas!
PLAY OUR GAME, JUST SAY YES!
If you wish to participate in a Generosity game before Thursday 23rd February you will be better armed to join the delicious debate. How would this look like? Check this short video: http://youtu.be/oftICP0JQw8
Come on the 23rd ready to share!
JUST SAY YES!

LONDON+acumen and other +acumen chapters around the world celebrated Generosity Day on February 14, 2012. Generosity, balanced with accountability, is one of the core values of Acumen Fund, and deepening our own practice of generosity is something we are all enthusiastic about. Our goal is to make the day about love, action and human connection – because we can do better than smarmy greeting cards, overpriced roses, and stressed-out couples trying to create romantic meals on the fly.
To celebrate Generosity Day and encourage others to do the same, +acumen chapters have collaborated with Selfless Tee to design a special t-shirt available at www.selflesstee.com/generosity. Use the code LHR at checkout to get a $2 discount.
LONDON+acumen is a self-organized, volunteer-led group that seeks to inspire and empower like-minded individuals in and around London who are passionate about supporting Acumen Fund’s mission to create a world beyond poverty. Our chapter is one of 12 +acumen chapters around the world sharing the principles of patient capital, cultivating an understanding of Acumen Fund’s values, and putting these principles into practice in our community.
